My program is all about one thing: getting you results. I offer you a unique, proven, customized combination of training methods designed around my expertise combined with your goals. My purpose is to get you the results you seek as quickly as possible, within the context of an affirming personal relationship.
In addition to 35 years of experience learning and playing guitar, my training includes David Stevenson's classical guitar program through Clemson University, Jazz guitar from Watson Wood Studios, and Progressive Rock Guitar from Tom Hess Music Corporation. I have played numerous public venues throughout the Upstate area, including in more recent years worship services at a number of area churches and events. To keep my skills in shape I also participate regularly with a group of fellow music lovers in a private "just-for-fun" band, performing Blues and Southern Rock style songs. I have taught guitar professionally over the past seven years and completed a one year advanced pedagogy course (Elite Guitar Teacher program from internationally recognized virtuoso guitarist and guitar instructor Tom Hess (guitarist/composer Rhapsody of Fire).
Everything I do revolves around one primary goal: getting you results. I base the programs and organizational model on the innovative and proven methods of the Chicago-based Tom Hess Music Corporation. The programs provide a balance of playing skill and technical knowledge appropriate for your goals.

"As a parent, I couldn’t be happier with the progress that Abby’s made with Chad. He isn’t too easy, has high expectations and continues to push in a positive away. I feel like guitar has given Abby an identity and boosted her self confidence. Coincidence or not, her grades have improved greatly since she started playing. I definitely feel like guitar is a gift that will last her a lifetime." - John Poore, Simpsonville
"I've learned a lot and been both challenged and
encouraged. I feel that the lessons are well organized and appropriate to my skill level. The instructor is not just a good guitar player, but also a great teacher." - Mike Menza, Greenville
"Our teenage son has been taking lessons with Chad for nearly six months. We have been very pleased with Chad's approach. Sometimes it can be difficult to keep a 13 year old focused, but Chad has developed a very good rapport with him. I can honestly say that our son looks forward to his weekly lessons."
